Matt is awesome!

We chatted via his website, he answered several questions about fabrics, and ultimately went back into the storeroom to find a piece of (long discontinued) fabric which he used to make a replacement for my wife's 5+ year old mattt bag.

It would have been enough for Matt to help pick among the existing fabrics. It was a huge bonus to have him hunt about in the storeroom to find the perfect replacement for my wife's bag.

... quality & durability

I just wanted to tell you I've had my mattt shoulder bag for over four years.

It served as my laptop bag which I carried to work everyday and has since doubled as my nappy bag.

It still looks great and shows no signs of it's heavy use.

My only complaint is I have no excuse to buy a new one!

I do like that you can just choose the panel and then the bag and it gets made up for you.

I totally ordered at the worst time of the year when you were on a break though still happy.

I like it even more than my old mattt bag because the zipper is tougher. The design is gorgeous and I get a lot of comments on it.

I guess I’ll be back in another five years when this one bites the dust? Yes, my old bag lasted that long with daily abuse! Maybe I should buy a couple and tuck them away somewhere. I wouldn’t mind one of the smaller bags too.

Good size, plain, functional. Good quality zip, stitching and manufacturing so it is durable.

The pattern/fabric is striking and it goes well with the clothes that I wear and strangers ask me where I bought it from.

I also love the strap it is wide enough and long enough to sit over my shoulder comfortably.

I ordered my first bag (large laptop) many, many years ago when Mattt had a stall on St Kilda.

I was visiting Melbourne at the time. It was delivered to NZ where I was working at the time.

I was so impressed that when needing a backpack went straight to Matt for another great bag with style, practicality and durability.

My bag (large laptop) has a Blue Fairy Wren pattern (so Australian; one of my favourite birds) and has been in constant use for many years - local commutes, interstate and overseas meetings.

It has had NO maintenance issues and still serves me well. The design is clever and functional. I note that newer models have had some changes (e.g., the outer pocket is zipped).

This new bag has several improvements which I like, such as the slightly larger (can take two pairs of glasses etc) without being weighed down and too heavy.

It also has the black strip at the top and I found that is where my last bag wore out first.

I also appreciate the internal pockets and the addition of the extra pocket on the front.

It's attractive as well as useful and you don't usually get that combination in bags.
